Action Cancer “School Action” Awards 2004-5

Limavady High School was the WELB secondary (grammar and non-grammar) winners of the Action Cancer “School Action” Awards for the second successive year.

Limavady High School was the WELB secondary (grammar and non-grammar) winners of the Action Cancer “School Action” Awards for the second successive year. This was in recognition of our efforts in promoting healthy living strategies which reduce the risks of developing cancer.

Dr Robinson, Laura Montgomery (14A2), PJ McGinnis (12O2) and John Logan (9A2) attended the awards ceremony in the Kelly Studios in UTV, Belfast in September.

Several of the UTV celebrities were on hand to greet us. PJ and Pamela Ballantine had a long chat about rallying. Our tally at celebrity spotting was an impressive six.

We were treated to a delicious brunch, prepared by Centra who sponsored the award. Sonya Mac, the Cool FM DJ, presented the awards.
