County Londonderry Athletics Championships

On Tuesday 13th June twenty-four very excited pupils set off to represent Limavady High in the 44th Annuel County Londonderry Championships held at Templemore Sports Complex.

There were a total of eight school taking part in this competition and Limavady High were represented in all four sections, in both track and field events.

The girls had a super day, not only with the good weather, but laso with their excellent performances. After overcoming their initial nerves, the girls really got down to business.

Mrs Hutchinson and myself would find it difficult to select a top athelete from this group, but we were extremely pleased as we collected twenty three medals, gaining overall runners up in the minor section and third overall in the senior section.

Congratulations goes to all the girls who participated giving 100% effort. Well done girls!
