18 Youth Club Young Leaders went to Bulgaria to help less fortunate children.
The trip began on the 1st March 2008 and lasted for 8 days. Whilst they were in Bulgaria they visited 3 orphanages, which was quite a culture shock for the young leaders. They helped brighten-up up the lives of those in the orphanages by painting 4 of the rooms. On their departure they gave £2500 to the orphanages which they had collected before leaving Northern Ireland. This money was much appreciated by the orphanages and will be used to buy essential supplies such as nappies and medicine etc.
