A message from the Headmaster

Dear Prospective Parents

I am aware from many parents and members of the public that there is a widespread perception in the Roe Valley and wider area that our school is making very rapid progress on many different fronts.

It is right that a community like ours should be proud of its local High School and support it. I am, of course, very pleased about this, however the proof of the pudding is always in the eating. It is not difficult these days for schools to project an image – we see it being done all the time by advertisers, even governments. If, as I believe, we really are making a difference and creating new expectations, opportunities and improved results for all students, we would like the chance to explain these to you and give you a real ‘feel’ for our school community. Our school has been designated as one of the first twelve Specialist Schools in Northern Ireland from September 2006. This designation is, in itself, a huge accolade and indicator of the quality of our provision.

Please take the opportunity to come along to our Open Night and/or Open Morning to experience something of the unique flavour of our school. We are a very modern, creative, cutting edge educational establishment, and a place where the old values of courtesy, respect and care for each other are consciously safeguarded and nurtured.

We have a lot going for us and we hope that, together, with your support and commitment matching ours, we can provide a strong base and a wide range of opportunities for your child. A major strength of education in this area is the quality and width of provision offered in partnership with other schools and Limavady College in the town and further afield.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
