Robert’s Top 40 Countdown

Robert’s Top 40 Countdown

December with no change at the top Judi Curtin’s Alice Next Door clings on for grim death to top spot at the expense of Anthony Horowitz.

Anthony has been fighting all the way and has claimed both 2nd and 3rd position on the list with an impressive 6 entries overall in the top 40.

Significantly a power change has occurred this month in the top 10 with men just edging the ladies out with 6 book entries to 4.

Top non-fiction book this month sits at number 8 Top Gear Best Bits – the Challenges by Jason Loborik.

Two things I have noticed this month is Jacqueline Wilson has almost disappeared from the list with only one entry at 29 and the Terry Deary Horrible History books which have been very popular in the past has just one entry as well at 27.

Most read fiction this month especially by 10th Year boys have been the ever popular Tremors books.

As always keep reading as there is something for everyone.

Hi Robert A friend has just drawn my attention to your blog. I'm very flattered to hear that Alice and her friends are popular in your school. Not sure I like the whole 'hanging on like grim death' simile, but if it means staying ahead of Anthony Horowitz, I suppose I can live with it! Continued success with your library - it sounds great. All best Judi
