Our school is part of the ‘Civic Link Project’ which is run by ‘Co-operation Ireland’.   The project has 2 purposes…

1. To promote understanding and friendship amongst pupils from different religious and cultural backgrounds from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
2. To recognise and promote the positive role that pupils can make to the life of our community and to our school.

Our school is partnered with Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair (which means Community School of Gweedore).  It is an Irish speaking school from Co. Donegal.

The partnership involves a visit to each partner school and a joint project for the pupils to engage in.  We are an important part of our school and our community but so often we hear only negative stories of how young people behave in our society.  Civic Link is a chance to show everyone that young people can make a difference in a positive way.
