Sixth form students and their teachers filled the foyer of Limavady High School on Thursday morning in anticipation of celebrating yet another set of outstanding results. Needless to say they were not disappointed.
The overall percentage pass rate of students achieving 3 A*-C is up 18% on last year with 100% of our students achieving 2 A*-E. Special congratulations go to our top achievers including Josh Kerrigan who gained A*, A and B grades, Nicole Millar and Emma Hetherington who attained 2As and 1 a B and Zoe Gibson, Iona Maxwell and Rebecca Rainey who gained 2As and a C grade.
Acting Principal, Mr Darren Mornin, said, "Once again we are delighted with the achievements of our students and there have been some exceptional results which reflect the hard work of the students and staff. The ethos of the school is based around our mission to provide a secure, caring, happy and challenging learning environment in which all pupils are encouraged to respect others and develop their potential as members of the school and the wider community. I believe that the pupils leaving our school today are fine examples of this and we wish them all the best in the future.”
Mr Mornin continued by saying, "I would like to take this opportunity once again to thank all of the staff of Limavady High School for going that extra mile, the pupils for their dedication and also their parents for their continued support. Our students leave us now to begin the next chapter in their lives, many of them ready to see first hand what university life has to offer and we wish them all well.” Mr Mornin also paid tribute to the input and support from the staff of the partner schools in the Roe Valley Learning Community.
