Physical Education
Subject Overview

Our aim is to help pupils develop a lifelong love of physical activity so that they will continue to lead an active and healthy lifestyle into their adult lives. We work with pupils of all ability ranges and our aim is to help them all experience success at their own level. For those who just want to take part in sport for health reasons and enjoyment or for those who want to pursue a serious interest in sport we are here to help them achieve.

We provide a wide and varied activity programme for our pupils, which include a range of both team and individual activities such as; football, rugby, netball, hockey, cricket, athletics, gymnastics, swimming, cross- country, badminton, fitness, indoor games, basketball, dodgeball and rounders. We encourage all our pupils to try out new activities and develop new skills, as well as improving their performance and knowledge in all of the activities.

Physical Education not only helps develop our pupils physical abilities but we also try to develop many other personal skills as well, with the school’s Core Values of Respect, Integrity, Personal Responsibility, Fairness, Teamwork and High Expectations at the centre of our learning.
