At Limavady High School we pride ourselves on our team of high quality teaching staff who are subject specialists and deliver high quality learning experiences for all pupils.  All teaching staff are committed to engaging with current research e.g.

Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction, Continued Professional Development, the effective use of data and collaboration with and between schools.  Our core values inform the day to day running of our school and are at the forefront of our teaching.

  • Respect

  • Integrity

  • Personal Responsibility

  • Fairness

  • Teamwork

  • High Expectations

Limavady High School takes great pride in being one of the first schools in Northern Ireland to implement research informed Knowledge Organisers with all pupils in Key Stage 3.  The Knowledge Organiser sets out the important, useful and powerful knowledge for each subject on a single page.  Pupils follow a weekly timetable and through regular retrieval practice and self quizzing develop their core subject knowledge.

What does high quality learning and teaching look like at Limavady High School?

  • All pupils make good PROGRESS
