Limavady High School Continues Its Upward Trajectory with Outstanding A Level Success

Limavady High School is celebrating another year of excellent A Level results, continuing the school's strong upward trend in academic achievement and reinforcing its growing reputation for excellence in post-16 education across the Roe Valley area and beyond.

Principal Dr Darren Mornin praised the achievements of the students and staff, describing the results as a testament to the hard work, determination and ambition demonstrated throughout the year.

"We are absolutely delighted with this year's results, which represent another significant step forward for Limavady High School. Over recent years, we have seen a clear and sustained upward trend in achievement, and today's results are further evidence of the hard work, commitment and ambition that exists throughout our school community. Our students have risen to every challenge and should be incredibly proud of what they have accomplished."

"These outstanding outcomes reflect not only the dedication of our students but also the exceptional support provided by our staff and families. We are particularly encouraged by the growing number of students achieving the highest grades, demonstrating that more young people than ever are fulfilling their potential and aspiring to excellence."

He continued:

"What makes these results especially pleasing is the breadth of success across both academic and vocational pathways. Whether progressing to university, higher-level apprenticeships or employment, our students are leaving equipped with the qualifications, skills and confidence needed for future success."

Students from the Class of 2026 will now progress to a wide range of destinations, including prestigious universities across the UK, higher-level apprenticeships and specialist vocational programmes.

• Luke Harper – A, A and C

• Ruby Clarence – A, Distinction and B

Dr Mornin added:

"It is always a privilege to celebrate our students' achievements and to hear about the exciting futures that lie ahead for them. These results demonstrate the quality, breadth and flexibility of our Sixth Form provision and highlight the supportive environment that exists within our school community."

The Principal also acknowledged the contribution of the Roe Valley Learning Community and partner schools in supporting student success.

"Our collaboration with partner schools continues to provide valuable opportunities for students, and we are grateful for the strong relationships that help enhance the educational experience of our young people."

Reflecting on the school's continued progress, Dr Mornin concluded:
